I was exposed to covid-19 two days ago (it is monday and i was exposed saturday night) i got tested today result was neg and doctor said i do not have to get tested again. is this true as the exposure was only two days ago?

The typical incubation period is 3 to 5 days. Most individuals convert to a positive test if they are infected, by day 10. Another test at day 7 will confirm a result. If you develop symptoms, test and self isolate. Watch for shortness of breath and fever.

Standard antigen tests can become positive at 4-7 days following infection, but are often subject to false negative outcomes. The PCR test is far more accurate but here too, timing is important. Perhaps a second opinion is needed to clarify your precise situation.
