Erythrasma: Erythrasma is a bacterial infection of the skin around body flexures. Left untreated it can spread and rarely causes septicemia. Most people who develop Erythrasma have an underlying condition that predisposes them to getting it such as Diabetes, Obesity, and immune problems. Treatment is with oral antibiotics, topical fusidic acid or antibacterials, and red light therapy. Healing takes 2-4 weeks.
