No: Fatty liver at your age should not be causing pain in that area.

Probably not: Fatty liver from obesity is a common condition. Most people don't experience any symptoms from it. Stretching of the liver could give some discomfort in the upper right side of the abdomen, but again, most people with fatty liver don't feel their liver and if they do, cramping wouldn't be a typical description of the discomfort. Sounds like it's worth having your primary care provider take a look.
