Breast cancer ?'s: A BRCA negative , stage II grade I lesion does not "require or need" a hysterectomy. Ovarian removal to decrease sources of estrogen may be done with BRCA positive lesions, but medications can obviate the need for hysterectomy even with BRCA positive lesions. Get a second opinion from a reproductive endocrinologist or gyn oncologist, if a hysterectomy is suggested.
