Had my first period after med abortion.i still have hcg/17.56/in my blood.scan shows some endometrial thickness-3mm.doc prescribed me duphaston to take from day 15 to 25.today is day 15 but i have menstrual pains again.how will this help me?so scared

Positive HCG ?: A positive HCG after a "medical abortion" may indicate persistent pregnancy, and/or a pregnancy occurring after your "medical abortion", with the bleeding representing a possible pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic). Duphaston may not treat this successfully. Get a repeat HCG in a week to see if it is elevated, and further treatment is indicated.
