DIY Orthodontics: A myriad of factors go into the position of your teeth, some dentally related, some skeletal. An orthodontist has spent many years learning how to diagnose occlusal issues and to customize treatment for your specific needs. Plastic aligners can only do so much, and they're not for everyone. Cost and desired results often go hand in hand.

Overjet: Overjet indicates back teeth not interdigitating properly. Cause may be dental/skeletal/combination. SD is not comprehensive Orthodontic care. It's like wrapping a broken leg in Saran Wrap instead of applying a cast. Go see a qualified Orthodontic Specialist (Initial Exam usually free) to determine actual severity of your malocclusion and treatment options.
