I have had an aching chest for a week. discomfort when breathing deeply and swallowing liquids; some coughing and mucus but no shortness of breath. could it be the beginnings of a lung infection? do these typically go away on their own without meds?

Flu-like symptoms can be from a strep throat infection, a cold or influenza, or from some other cause like COVID-19.
