Above normal: White Blood Cells (WBC) travel in your blood stream to fight off infections. High WBC's can indicate that there may be an infection in your body or that there is an underlying immune problem overproducing white blood cells. It can also be attributed to surgery, extreme exercise, trauma and certain medications. Talk to the doctor who ordered the test for follow up and explanation.
