I'm an asthmatic, 27 and in a healthy condition. experiencing tightness in the lower throat and upper chest region, it's worse in the mornings but normals gets better throughout the day. condition has persisted for about 6 weeks.

AM chest tightness: May be reflux , that occurs when lying down in sleep. Consider elevating head of bed with pillow under mattress. May consider famotidine before bed as well that is anti reflux medicine. Would check pulmonary function-PFT as may need medication adjustment ( worse in AM because lungs compress during sleep due to position) In the era of coronavirus would also get tested for coronavirus.F/U w/ MD
