I have been getting itchy spots along a scar on my back. i haven't changed my diet or environmental factors. the scar is on my lower back from 2016 and the itch is bad enough that i scratch until i bleed. the spots recur every 3-6 weeks. what is it?

Dermatologist: I recommend consulting a dermatologist who will examine and advise you. This scar may be a keloid which can be itchy. In the meantime have you tried treating the itchy area with a corticosteroid ointment?
