Question unclear but: One's best contraceptive while on folic acid is the same "best contraceptive" without being on folic acid. Folic acid has no influence on one's choice of contraceptive. Folic acid is just a vitamin. Typical adequate doses are in prenatal vitamins (which also have no effect on one's contraceptive choice), but larger doses are sometimes recommended by Ob-Gyn doctors if a woman is at "higher risk."
