My 2 month old baby has occasional cough, maybe 5 times per hour. she doesnt have any other symptoms. i recieved tdap vaccine after birth & i am breastfeeding. what is the chance of it being whooping cough?

Unlikely: In infants the main cause of cough/congestion is nasal irritation from airborne irritants. Dust/fumes/etc. enter the tiny nasal cavity & trigger drainage that leasd to cough. Nasal washout with saline nasal drops helps. Your TdaP vaccine after birth helps prevent you from getting it but not baby.At 2 mo she needs her own.
