A member asked:

Can nerve pain originate from stress/anxiety from time to time? (tingling, shooting, burning, crawling sensations) if so whats the usual treatment?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Wish you good health!

Sometimes: That is the curse of having health anxiety. Normal bodily sensations and abnormal bodily sensations all are perceived as signs of illness... making it very difficult for either the patient or the doctor to tell when the patient is actually sick (other than suffering the sickness of health anxiety). A patient can usually teach herself which of her pains, her tingling, etc., are normal vs. serious.
