I have a slightly sore throat and nasal drip. should i talk to a doctor or can i just self medicate?

Self med for now: Post nasal drip often causes a mild sore throat. If you are prone to sinus infections and this is causing the post nasal drip you can use saline nasal washes to clear out the irritating mucus. You can also use decongestants and mucolytics (mucinex) to control the post nasal drip. see Dr for increased difficulty breathing, or copious green/yellow discharge as that may indicate a bacterial infection
