Evaluation: Localized reactions, eczema or an infection should be considered. Avoid irritation to the skin in this area. Gently apply a baby eczema cream by patting it onto the skin without getting it into the eyes, three times daily. Apply a local steroid cream after speaking with your pediatrician. A low dose of a 0.5% Hydrocortisone lotion may be indicated twice daily after speaking with your pediatrician.
