Hi, my son developed flu like symptoms last sunday, i took him to see a doc on wednes 23rd april, he finished his meds and still coughing, i have also started coughing and have flu like symptoms?

COVID 19 screening: I would advise that you both have a screening test to determine if you have COVID 19. Other possible causes include influenza or a non COVID 19 viral illness. Viral illnesses will not respond to antibiotics. He may also have a resistant bacterial illness. Please monitor his temperature for fever and report difficulty breathing to your PCP. Stay home, drink fluids and rest until seen.
