Blepharitis: Flaky or scaly skin at the base of the eyelashes, is known as Blepharitis. This flakiness/scaliness can be caused by seborrheic dermatitis, bacterial/fungal infection or clogged eyelid glands. Depending on the cause, treatment involves topical antibiotics, steroid eyedrops or topical antifungals. See a Dr to determine what the underlying cause is and get a prescription.
