Iam 33 wks preg. at14wks my placenta was posterior covering os.at 27wk dr told my placenta is posterior 4.5cm away frm os.at32 wks again dr. said its 1.0cm away frm os? is it possible tat placenta came down? should i consult some other dr?pls suggest

The placenta does : not actually move, however if you imagine the uterus as a balloon, as it enlarges two points on the expanding balloon can move apart. Some differences can be the technique used by the ultrasound examiner.

Placenta location: 33 yo at 33weeks gestation with unsure location of the placenta which was said to be 1cm from the cervical os at 32 weeks gestation. The placenta usually pulls up as pregnancy progresses. Since you are getting close to the term, it is prudent to see a maternal fetal specialist for consult for higher scale ultrasound and for recommendation as this will determine the best route for delivery.
