Probably not: Teeth are held in by a thin ligament which gives the tooth a little "play" almost like a shock absorber. If, however, your teeth are malpositioned and excessive forces are being applied, over time there can be bone loss. Was the tooth traumatized? You'll need to see a dentist

Probably not: Although teeth should not feel loose, there is a little play in their suspension system. Of concern is excessive movement which signals bone loss. This can be caused by trauma, malocclusion, gum/bone disease, or pernicious habits. See your Dentist and have problem checked. Consultation w Periodontist or Orthodontist may be recommended.
