6 month old with bad rash on her face due to teething. she is currently cutting top and bottom teeth. rash started on her chin and is now spreading onto her cheeks. what can i apply to help?

Saliva irritation: You can try petrolatum (Vaseline) or Aquaphor (a healing ointment). If those do not help, you can try 0.5% hydrocortisone cream 2-3x/day for up to 7 days. Also, keep the area as dry as possible (from the saliva). If still worsening or not improving, please consult with her doctor or do a telemedicine visit on HealthTap if you have access.

Rash: Wipe her face often to dry it. Apply vaseline or Aquaphor. Make an appointment with a pediatric dental specialist, a Pedodontist, for examination and help.
