While sitting at rest my sports watch alarm went off indicating a sudden heart rate spike to 130bpm. i felt nothing unusual in my chest or torso or breathing. developed a pain in my left arm which lasted 18 hrs or so. should i get a heart check up?

Rapid heart: These devices are not vey accurate and many things can make they get an inaccurate reading. When you see this I would check your pulse yourself at your wrist to document the accuracy. But chest pain is bothersome if you have had heart disease in past or a strong family history of early onset heart disease. There are many families in SA with inherited high cholesterol Have yours checked.
