See a doctor: Get this examined and diagnosed to make sure it is nothing serious. Don't dawdle. Do go and get seen.

Trauma, infection: Possible causes of nipple pain include: minor trauma or chafing of the tip of the nipple, infection of the skin of the nipple (may occur if the skin cracks), other more rare causes are possible. Usual treatment is warm compresses and see the doctor if redness, swelling, fever, or if it fails to get better in 1-2 days.
