I used to have heavy but short periods 3 days. started tulana mini pill a few days short of 3 months ago. periods are now at least 7 days and breakthrough bleeding a week after each period for a few days. is this normal, will it regulate soon?

This is common: when starting a pill pack. The usual course is two cycles maybe three to regulate period flow. This seems to be taking longer than expected. Reasons could be uterine lining polyps, or very thin uterine lining. Let your doctor know, as this can evaluated and treated.
