A member asked:

Is heartburn at night normal because around 12:00 to 2:00 i alway get heartburn and if it happen mostly every day should i be concern?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Acid reflux symptoms: Hi. Laying down will cause the reflux of acid from the stomach and back up the esophagus(food pipe) leading to acid reflux symptoms such as the heartburn. Avoiding triggers for acidity, not laying down right after eating, having an elevated position of your head when sleeping, should help. Along with meds to reduce acidity if needed. See your doctor if symptoms still persist.
