Doctor can evaluate: A doctor can evaluate to see what might be going on. Maybe there is a gallstone or gall bladder sludge problem. Sometimes the gerd or gastritis is still happening despite taking the medication. The stomach emptying time may be taking too long. A GI specialist can help figure things out, try additional treatments, and/or do an upper endoscopy to see how things look in the esophagus and stomach.
