Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. From what you described it may have been bleeding in the tissue. That would be more likely if you see color changes in the overlying skin. If the lesion gets larger, ulcerates, you get fever or see bleeding in skin it would be prudent to see your doctor. Wish you good health!
