20 weeks pregnant, came out a redish, brownish discharge, with a bit of cramping, now its gone, what could have caused it?

If no cramping now,: probably not miscarrying, if cramping and bleeding, possible miscarriage. Just spotting, light beeding, darker, could be from the placenta, or the cervix, bleeding with minimal harm to the fetus. See your doctor for exam and testing to be sure.
