Prilosec or prevacid (lansoprazole): The proton pump inhibitor class of drugs will normally work best ( Prilosec or prevacid). Your mom should also elevate the head of the bed, avoid eating before bed so get stomach is empty, and avoid caffeine, peppermint, and licorice.
