Stork bite ? : Stork bite is a common term applied to a rose red birth mark at the nape of the neck. It can be found in ~15% of newborns & is basically capillaries under the skin that are superficial enough to be seen. They cause no symptoms and may fade with time or persist until adulthood. I know of no 3 mo with the physical development that would allow them to purposely reach back to that spot to scratch.
