Verified ?: There are basic issues involved.One is the excess amount of swelling due to moisture and irritation from germs. The basic treatment includes prescription combination meds that kill germs and reduce the swelling. Use of a mixture of half/half vinegar & rubbing alcohol sometimes helps & will often prevent the problem if used after swimming.
