Dr prescribed amoxicillin for my babys tonsillitis (19 months). now im not sure if i should keep administering hes spitting most of it and the little he took is giving running tummy. dr closer for easter, please advise what to do in the meantime ?

Depends: How long has the baby been taking it? And are you sure it’s amoxicillin and not Clavimox? The latter can cause G.I. upset but amoxicillin usually does not. Entries, most episodes of tonsillitis or not caused by bacteria but rather viruses. It’s important to culture before prescribing these antibiotics to prevent the emergence of Super bugs
