Regular contraceptiv: The Ella Pill is an emergency contraceptive used only when unexpected, unprotected sex or birth control failure (broken condom) has occurred. This should not be your normal contraceptive as it has high levels of hormone which can disrupt your normal menstrual pattern. See a DR if your period is more than 10 day late, as this may indicate an undetected pregnancy.
