A member asked:

I have a new born baby boy who was delivered on the 7th of april 2020 and the process of delivery was more than 15 hours in labor pains. the problem now is that since the 7th to date he has not produced faeces. what might be wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Never ?: It is important that any newborn have their first poop, usually within the 1st 24 hrs as this proves the system is connected & open. After that first poop much depends on the method of feeds. Breast fed infants can poop a smear every feed or a cradle filler once a week. No 1st poop=doc needs to evaluate immediately.
