May be : Acid reflux can commonly cause symptoms outside of the stomach or distal esophagus. Examples include persistent, dry cough, aggravation of asthma and laryngoesophageal reflux (ler). Gurgling in the throat is not a common feature of ler and conditions such as zenker's diverticulum should be considered. A gastroenterology consultation if often needed.
