Get a checkup: A general checkup by primary care doctor is in order. It is not difficult to find the cause of your pain and low energy.Your doctor can do a physical examination and screen you for anemia(low hemoglobin)which can cause weakness. Arthritis is common cause of pain.Liver function tests can be done to check your health and may reveal the cause of chronic itching.. It is not a good idea to take tylenol (acetaminophen).

See a physician: Any time you have long term symptoms of any type, it is wise to see a physician for further evaluation. Chronic upper back pain could represent a number of conditions, such as thoracic spine degenerative disease, and potentially even a malignancy, especially when associated with constitutional symptoms such as lower energy.
