Can aftershave help (such as witch hazel or balm) with pre existing hair defects? one doctor told me it could but i haven't tried it yet.

Hair loss ?'s: There is no evidence that "after shave" lotions, etc., can provide a remedy for hair loss. Get some over the counter minoxidil containing treatments at your local drug store, which may reduce the rate of loss.

Need to See It: Witch hazel is not an approved medication and should not be prescribed for skin diseases. It relieves irritation and sometimes soothes men’s faces when used as an after shave. If you have a rash, infection, or diagnosis (psoriasis, dermatitis, acne), it is best to use prescribed medications.
