I am currently 21 weeks pregnant. i have been having post nasal drip since 19 weeks. 2 weeks ago i started experiencing dry and tense throat. nothing has been helping. i increased water intake and took benylin for dry cough. what causes dryness?

Several possibilitie: If you have dry heat in the home, that can cause dry throat, & the benylin could worsen that, as can anxiety. Drinking extra fluids is definitely a good idea. You could try fluticasone (steroid) nasal spray instead of benylin for the drainage, & maybe a humidifier in your bedroom
