Likely a sore: You likely gave a sore in your swallow tube triggered by a scratchy food or acid reflux from your stomach. This can trigger a spasm in the tube which eventually relaxes. Your lungs are protected by a valve structure that is very effective. Any material that gets in your lungs triggers continuous coughing spasms. See your doc. This can be fixed.
