I've been feeling like food is getting stuck in my throat or something when i eat.goes away with water. i am sick and have post nasal drip and cough. i am just worried that food will get in lungs if i breathed in while feeling the lump. what is it?

Likely a sore: You likely gave a sore in your swallow tube triggered by a scratchy food or acid reflux from your stomach. This can trigger a spasm in the tube which eventually relaxes. Your lungs are protected by a valve structure that is very effective. Any material that gets in your lungs triggers continuous coughing spasms. See your doc. This can be fixed.

I started to feel an itch whenever i took a breath in my chest while i was eating food. Could it be that small pieces of food got into my lungs and is it dangerous? And how to get it out? Also feel a lump in the back of throat?
I just took some cough medicine and apparently I didn't swallow well and it caused a coughing fit and felt like my lungs were closing up. Every time I breath in through my nose it causes irritation in my throat and I cough again. Possibly aspirated?
