My son 15mnth has slight fever/sneezing & a bit of cough he has no appetite & doesn't want to drink his milk & only will take a bit of juice. common?

Picky eater: Your child is not eating because he isnt growing at the rate he was as an infant, therefore he becomes choosy in what he eats. Dont fill him up with milk or juice. They just bloat his belly. Let him graze when eating and have him help you prepare meals his cough and sneezing are due to post nasal drip. Treat with saline nose drops.

Common Cold: Decreased appetite is common with mild upper respiratory infections. Encourage water and low sugar fluids to avoid dehydration. Normal and ok to decrease solid food intake for few days. Tylenol (acetaminophen) prn for fever and irritability. Humidify air, nasal saline drop and head-elevated sleep position can provide comfort from URI sx. See md - higher fever, focus of pain, any breathing prob or s/o dehydration.

Nasal saline/temp: Check your son's temperature, use nasal saline to relieve nasal congestion and please follow up with your Pediatrician. Provide fluids and discuss his diet with your pediatrician.
