What happens when covid enters the body?

Possible significant: lung damage for some. Covid 19 virus can enter the body through the respiratory tract. It can travel to the lungs where it causes inflammation & infection of the small air sacs (Alveoli). The lungs might pool pus and fluids. This makes it difficult for the job of exchanging oxygen with carbon dioxide. The person doesn't get enough oxygen. This makes it hard to breath. It can effect other organs.
