Certainly: However, the virus seems to affect kids differently. As many as 50% or more who test positive in the family setting never have any symptoms. It is rare for any kids under 15 to require hospital based care. This differs significantly from many flu illnesses that often affect both the young and old more severely.

Yes,especially with the Omicron variants,we have seen more cases of COVID-19 in children;it is much more contagious than prior variants.Even though the majority of children don't get as sick as some adults,studies and experience have shown that complications,such as Long-COVID and MIS-C can occur;therefore, children 6 months and older should get vaccinated to help prevent those and serious disease
