Ziac: Ziac, a combination of a beta blocker and diuretic, lowers blood pressure by reducing fluid and sodium in your body and by reducing your heart rate. In my experience you would need a stronger antihypertensive or add-on one to reduce that diastolic blood pressure. Contact your physician and notify him/her of your current blood pressure. Also an examination of your neck and ear is advisable.
