Extreme soar strep throat, 4 weeks and 3 antibiotics later, no improvement and swollen lymp node on right side of throat/neck?

Doubt only strep: Strep is sensitive to a range of antibiotics & response is predictable. If you are not improved, you likely have a co-infection with one of many throat viruses that must resolve over time on their own. EB virus which is the main cause of mono typically produces beefy tonsils & an illness that lasts 3 wks to 3 mo. I would test for it.
