Medications: Medications are not formulated to ruin your health. Many can have side effects, but these also don't ruin your health. If you need any medications, they will be prescribed by you physician, and he/she can discuss your concerns with you.

It all depends...: Often a medicine that saves one person's life can ruin another's health. Most medicines have the potential of serious side effects but usually these only occur in a tiny fraction of those taking it. You should not take any medication unless it is really necessary and has been prescribed by a doctor you trust. Read the package insert and ask your doctor about safety and possible alternatives.
