PCR: PCR positive cases after initial infection may occur and the PCR may be positive for weeks after the initial infection. Six weeks after the initial diagnosis or with symptom recurrence is the time frame that I would suggest. Stay home for at least seven days after the onset of symptoms or for three days after your fever normalizes, whichever is longer.

Not needed: It is not necessary to get another test to prove you are negative. At this point if you have been well for more than 7 days, you can resume normal activities as you are no longer considered to be contagious. If you are a health-care worker, and have continued exposure you should wear a mask for patient care.Eventually there will be antibody testing to see if you are immune, but not doing that now.
