Viruses run: in similar ways. so the timeframe on most viruses and coronavirus are all about the same: 1) takes 24 hrs to start, and by 5 days you'd expect to see it 2) there is a definite percent who have it, are infectious, and dont' show it 3) 14 days is an upper limit on contagiousness. german measles is especially contagious and dangerous to pregnant women, which is why it is often vaccinated against.

Maybe never: German measles is a rather mild disease for most.An estimated 25-50% never have symptoms & volunteer studies show live virus shedding from 7 d before to 14 d after the onset of the characteristic rash. The biggest risk is to the fetus of never vaccinated women who have the disease while pregnant.
