A member asked:

If a child has measles, can his immune parent "carry" the virus and unintentionally infect other susceptible children?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Viral carriage is not likely in an immune host. In order for a virus to survive it must be able to invade its host's cells, and pre-existing immunity should prevent this from occurring.
