A member asked:

Can i catch pox/measles if i receive a letter from someone who was infected with one of these illnesses?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: The measles virus is usually passed through direct contact with infectious droplets. It is unlikely that there would be enough virus on the letter to transmit an infection. Be sure you wash your hands thoroughly after reading the letter just to be safe and go to your doctor if you have any symptoms
