Symptoms: If you are infected, symptoms will emerge: tiredness, dry cough, fever worsening over 5-14 days. You will also become more infective so self-isolation and good hygiene are vital. Only be concerned about COVID-19 if: - You have been in contact with someone with a conformed diagnosis of COVID-19 - You have visited a high risk area - Symptoms worsen and include persistent fever and dry cough

What is the incubation period for plague?

Dr. Robert Kwok

2 to 6 days: The incubation period (time between exposure to the bacteria, by a bite or by inhaling the germs, and the development of the first symptoms) for bubonic plague is 2-6 days, and for pneumonic plague is 2-4 days. Less commonly, the incubation period for pneumonic plague can be 1-6 days... which is important, because pneumonic is fatal if treatment isn't started within 24 hours of first symptoms.

Is there an incubation period for stevens-johnson syndrome?

Dr. Booth Wainscoat
Infectious Disease 21 years experience
No: Incubation period refers to the duration after which a person is transmitted a pathogen (i.e. Virus or bacteria) until the infection is apparent. Stevens-johnson syndrome (sjs) is not an infection and therefore there is no incubation period. Very rarely sjs can result from an individuals 'reaction' to an infection. More often sjs may result from antibiotics used to treat infections.
