Upper respiratory sx: Cough, sore throat and runny nose are non specific symptoms of upper respiratory disease, they may be due to many causes, allergies to viral infections that may be contagious. Given COVID-19 pandemic, patients with these symptoms should seek testing, remain quarantined and isolated from the general population. Possibly: If there is a fever over 101f, she may be contagious. Give lots of fluids, run a cool mist humidifier, and use Acetaminophen for fever or pain. If fever and cough persists for more than a few days, or symptoms are getting worse, she should be seen by her doctor.
